| Resumo : | When addressing passenger air transport with electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing vehicles, on one hand, the aircraft themselves are very close to becoming operational for general usage. On the other hand, the ground infrastructure it will operate on - referred to as vertiport - is still far from being well designed or regulated to accommodate the expected influx of aerial vehicles in a safe and competitive manner compared to other transportation modals. A quick development in the field of vertiport operations becomes mandatory to diminish the gap it has compared to its well-established competitors. To achieve so, elements associated with operations in vertiports, such as business models, infrastructure on location, battery management and passenger processing will be considered as objects of study in the implementation of a framework for generating and evaluating models. The main results are intended to contribute to the state of the art on this subject by developing a methodology for evaluating the performance of vertiport operations and to the state of practice by applying computational solutions to determine vertiport networks that will foster urban air mobility and regional air transportation. |
